Logistics Executive
Job Description
We are looking for a Logistics Executive (Purchase and Sale of Freight) responsible for coordinating the contracting and marketing of land transportation services, guaranteeing the availability of units, the profitability of operations and compliance with delivery times.
He will be responsible for negotiating rates with carriers, offering competitive logistics solutions to customers and following up on each operation, ensuring an efficient and quality service.
Main activities
- Quote and negotiate transportation rates with customers and suppliers.
- Purchase transport capacity with transport lines and market logistics services.
- Prospect and develop new business relationships with customers and carriers.
- Coordinate the assignment of units according to operational requirements.
- Track shipments from scheduling to final delivery.
- Maintain constant communication with customers and suppliers during the operation.
- Resolve incidents and ensure compliance with loading, transit and delivery times.
- Analyze costs, profit margins and profitability of operations.
- Prepare indicator reports and operational monitoring.
- Keep the database of customers, suppliers and rates updated.
- Verify that the documentation required for each service is complete.
Requirements
- Experience in buying and selling freight or land transport intermediation.
- Knowledge of the national land transport market.
- Experience in negotiating rates and closing commercial agreements.
- Microsoft Excel management.
- Experience in TMS or ERP systems desirable.
- Ease of communication, negotiation and customer service.
